Growing up, I always had a great passion for food, culture, produce and the land. My mother and my grandmother are amazing cooks. Times were very humble when I was growing up but my mother would turn something very basic into something divine for the family and that’s something I’ll cherish all my life.
Looking back at those moments I realise regardless of the ingredient, it’s the care towards it that counts the most. I think that’s where “ if you cant serve the dish/coffee to your family you can’t serve that to your patrons “ comes from.
Me and my wife Sujita have been very fortunate having had the opportunity to work in some of the best cafés in Sydney and to fall in love with the coffee culture like hopeless romantics. It was a no-brainer for me and my wife to open ‘The Giant Bean Café’.
